Beatles Christmas Disk 1966: “If I ever see another banjo, I’m going out to buy a big balloon.”

I’m going to go full-blown Beatles geek cuz I just received the new masters collection - wheee! As far as I know, their Christmas stuff is still not readily available and it is AWESOME. George Martin brought his comedy record experience and the boys were their charming, clever selves. Every year from 1963 to 1969, the recordings became increasingly goofier and more delightful.

The Chinese U2 cover band just said, “On your niece, boy.”
