• Turned 40 and divorce papers finalized on the same day [link]

• Went to Xi’an by myself and took photos [link]
• Moved back in with my mom in LA [link]

JULY

• Realized I’d become more different from my family than I’d thought [link]

AUGUST

• Realized I would turn into the old me if I stayed in LA

SEPTEMBER

• Realized I preferred the new me and needed to protect her
